Whether you live in the Canton, Ohio area or are on vacation visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the daily question of “what’s for dinner?” is always looming. Luckily, there are a multitude of restaurants Canton Ohio offers that will satisfy every appetite!
My fiancé and I lived and worked near Canton, OH for two years. We are BIG restaurant people and after sifting through many chain restaurants, we quickly found our favorite spots
We found 21 of the best restaurants located in Downtown Canton, North Canton, and the Belden Village area. From casual to upscale and every type of cuisine you can think of, you could have a new date night spot each weekend for half a year with this list!
It’s important to note that almost every single one of these restaurants is closed on Sunday! So make sure you plan accordingly 🙂
Here we go – the 21 best places to eat in Canton Ohio!
Best Restaurants Canton Ohio
1. Gervasi Vineyards
1700 55th St NE, Canton, OH 44721
Check the website for all restaurant hours and reservations!
It’s a no brainer to have Gervasi Vineyards as #1 on this list. Gervasi’s property is an impressive 55 acres full of vineyards, restaurants, venues, lakes, trails and incredible views. It feels like you’ve been transported to Tuscany as soon as you enter the gates!
Known as one of the best wineries in Northeast Ohio, Gervasi is an excellent choice for an upscale dinner in Canton!
Best Restaurants at Gervasi Vineyards
- The Bistro – finer Italian dining in an upscale, renovated barn
- The Crush House Wine Bar & Eatery – more casual and contemporary dining with a full bar that offers guided wine flights
- The Still House – a coffee and cocktail bar with signature drinks and small plates (also has an outdoor cigar lounge and live music!)
- The Piazza – seasonal outdoor dining offering gorgeous lake views
Each location is fantastic, but our favorite after a work day is The Still House. It has the cigar lounge for Jonnie and a vast menu of all the signature wines, cocktails, and desserts for me!
Pictured below is one of our many cigar, wine and dessert nights out. The tiramisu is AMAZING and my go-to Gervasi wine is always Abbraccio, their full-bodied cabernet sauvignon!
Also have to do a shout-out to the Crush House’s Beef Gnocchi – pillowy gnocchi with tender, melt in your mouth short ribs, all paired with red wine? I mean what more could you want!?
If you’re looking to wow an out-of-town visitor or just want to treat yourself to a nice night out, Gervasi is your one stop shop! If you’re planning a meal at the Bistro, make sure you grab reservations ahead of time!
2. The Twisted Olive
5430 Massillon Rd, North Canton, OH 44720
Mon-Thurs 11:30am-9pm, Fri & Sat 11:30am-10pm, Closed Sundays
The Twisted Olive is another fantastic spot for date night and my favorite restaurant in North Canton! While it’s owned and operated by Gervasi Vineyards, Twisted Olive stands on its own as a fantastic Italian restaurant.
Sitting among a gorgeous landscape of greenery and lake views, Twisted Olive offers Italian American fare “with a twist”. The best seating (in my opinion) is the outside lower level. You’ll have perfect views of the lake and enjoy the shade on a spring, summer or fall afternoon!
We love ordering the spicy stuffed peppers and a pizza to share as an appetizer. I ALWAYS get the shrimp carbonara and pair it with Gervasi’s french-style sauvignon blanc, Fioretto.
They have a great happy hour during the week from 2-6pm but be sure to grab a reservation as seats are often full!
3. Fronimo’s (Downtown Canton)
315 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44702
Tues-Thurs 4-10pm, Fri 4-11pm, Sat 5-11pm, Closed Sunday and Monday
View this post on Instagram
#3 on our list of Canton restaurants is Fronimo’s in the heart of downtown. We discovered this gem later in our time living in Ohio and we are so sad we didn’t find it sooner!
Nestled right in Downtown Canton’s Art District, Fronimo’s is small but mighty! It reminds me of a restaurant you’d find in Brooklyn, NY. It’s a narrow building with high top and bar seating only, and it’s always packed in the evenings.
We love this restaurant because it’s Greek fusion and it’s locally owned. When you have dinner here you feel like you’re part of a community. The owner will walk around and spark conversation. After going there just once, we felt like part of the club!
Some of our favorite meals have been their pastitsio (a Greek pasta), shrimp and grits, and mahi mahi. Anything we’ve ever ordered has been delicious and plated so beautifully! They also have fantastic desserts that are made locally.
If you’re looking to switch up your Friday night, head over to Fronimo’s. But be sure to make a reservation because they get busy! In my opinion, it is one of the best restaurants Downtown Canton Ohio offers.
4. Table Six Kitchen + Bar
6113 Whipple Ave NW, North Canton, OH 44720
Tues-Thurs 11am-9pm, Fri & Sat 11am-11pm, Sun 11am-8pm, Closed Monday
If you live in the Canton/Massillon area, odds are you’re already a huge fan of Table Six. I would venture to say it is the most popular of the restaurants in Canton (and for good reason!).
Table Six is one of the best restaurants North Canton offers and is classified as a gastropub. The cocktails at Table Six are some of the best in the area!
Not only are they super reasonably priced, their Happy Hour is AMAZING. It is everyday from 4-5:30 and worth sneaking out of work early for (trust me, just do it).
Pictured is my mom and I sipping on my favorite winter cocktail – the Winter Luxe Martini. Olive oil washed vodka, fresh orange aromatics, and a pink Himalayan sea salt rim… to die for!
In terms of food, all the plates are shareable. Our favorites are the shrimp tacos, T6 smash burger (also try it vegetarian style!), the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the truffle fries!
As with all the popular spots in Canton, be sure to grab reservations even just the morning before. T6 gets a ton of walk ins, especially on weekends!
5. Royal Docks Brewing Company
7162 Fulton Dr NW, Canton, OH 44718

I’m a sucker for a good local brewery, and Royal Docks fits the bill! With two locations in the Canton area, Royal Docks is the perfect casual spot for food and brewskies.
Royal Docks is the laid back vibe we all need after a long day. With indoor and outdoor seating, cozy fire pits, and easy going order-at-the-bar service, it’s the best spot for a no-frills date night.
Although I love wine, a nice cold IPA always sounds good – especially paired with a piping hot flat bread! My favorite beer has always been the Dare and my go-to flatbreads are the Fungi and Mediterranean.
Their location on Fulton Drive is just across the way from the Jackson Amphitheater, making it the perfect pre-show dinner and drinks stop during the summer.
Head over to Royal Docks for your next casual night out to enjoy a cold one crafted right in Canton!

I love this place. It’s eclectic, full of art, and just exudes fun. We’ve gone a couple times after a dinner at Fronimo’s and I always try a new wine or ask for a recommendation. This intimate and local spot is perfect for girl’s night out or a night cap on Downtown Canton’s First Friday!

Their menu boasts classic Mediterranean cuisine, including kabobs, marinated meats, and of course authentic baklava! The best part about Desert Inn is their nightly entertainment. Enjoy your grape leaves with a side of belly dancing! (yes that is a sword on her head)
I’d highly recommend ordering their family style kabob entree to share along with a glass of red wine. Desert Inn is one of the best places to eat in Canton Ohio for a date night you’ll never forget.

On the menu, you’ll find high quality seafood entrees that have been freshly acquired from Maine! With prime cuts of steak and a vast wine list, the options are endless at Bender’s!
The last time we dined there, we enjoyed a delicious crab leg appetizer and fresh Lake Eerie Walleye entrees. So fresh and delicious. Bender’s is one of the best downtown Canton restaurants for a celebratory night out.
10. Melange
221 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44702
Wed-Thurs 5-9pm, Fri & Sat 5-10pm
Another great Downtown Canton restaurant is Melange, a new addition to the food scene! Opened in 2022, Melange is a unique culinary experience that pushes the envelope in their flavor profiles and ambiance. Perfect for a first date or a night out with the girls, Melange is a breath of fresh air in the Canton Ohio food scene.
As soon as you walk in, you’ll be transported to a vibrant and eclectic space, reminiscent of Miami! With bold colors, vibrant wallpaper, and neon light fixtures, the small restaurant certainly packs a punch.
On the menu, you’ll find classic American cuisine with a twist. We started off the night with their Korean corn dogs, oysters on the half shell and grilled octopus. The hot dogs were so good. Kobe beef, Korean batter, and a gochujang sauce – SO yummy and very unique!
In terms of entrees, you’ll find traditional cuts of steak, pasta entrees, and seafood specials. There’s something for everybody!
Located in a hidden room off the bar area, you’ll find a dance floor and DJ for those looking to bust a move on the weekends! Melange is definitely worth a try on your next night out for a young and fresh vibe in Downtown Canton Ohio.
11. Mint and Lime Asian Bistro

Mon 4-9pm, Tues-Sat 11am-9pm, Closed Sunday
Mint and Lime is a classic choice for Thai cuisine in Canton. It’s a great take-out option after a busy work day but also has cozy inside seating.
While Mint and Lime may look unassuming from the outside, their flavor and food quality is consistently top notch. Their vast menu includes tons of different types of sushi, pad thai, curries, stir frys, and more!
My go-to order every time (and I mean every time) is their avocado curry with chicken and shrimp over white rice. It’s creamy, spicy and delicious every time. Mint and Lime is the one of the best restaurants in Canton OH for high quality Asian cuisine.

Our favorite pizza is the classic deluxe. The crust is thick and pillowy and it’s covered in fresh vegetables and locally sourced pepperoni and sausage!
