Located just 70 miles southwest of New York City, only 20 miles from historical Downtown Doylestown PA, it’s a perfect spot for a romantic getaway in Pennsylvania for great food, drinks, and waterfront views.

1. The Salt House

Right in the heart of the town, is The Salt House – currently my favorite dinner and drinks restaurant in New Hope PA. This place is unique and has seriously delicious food.
The Salt House is a completely stone building dating back to the mid 1700s. Inside, you’ll find a cozy dining room and bar that is a true New Hope restaurant hidden gem.
Snuggle up next to the fireplace and get ready to be wowed by the amazing ambiance, food and drinks of this historical gastropub.
My fiancé (Jonnie) and I found our way here for a late night dinner date. We found a candlelit table, grabbed a couple glasses of sauvignon blanc and enjoyed an amazing meal.

I tried the pesto pasta with ricotta cheese (SO GOOD) and Jonnie ordered the seafood pasta. The food was amazing and the setting is perfect for a romantic date night.
I highly recommend trying out The Salt Room for your next special occasion with your sweetheart, friends, or family! It is a great local spot that is seriously top notch.

2. Nektar Wine Bar
Nektar Wine Bar is another new addition to my list of favorite restaurants in New Hope. This place is chic and modern, and has an extremely impressive wine, beer, and spirits selection.
Nestled amongst trees and creeks, Nektar is the best place in town to enjoy wine and spirits from all over the world. With their extensive drink menu and innovative food menu, you’ll be making plans to return to Nektar after your first visit!
While at Nektar, we each enjoyed a flight. I ordered the Australian white wine flight and Jonnie ordered a bourbon flight. This is definitely the best way to try new drinks!
We tried their portabello mushroom “fries”, their tuna tartar, and the cheesecake. Everything was delicious!
They have lots of other delicious small plates and entrees that pair so nicely with the huge drink menu.
I highly recommend checking out Nektar Wine Bar as a place to get an interesting drink and small plate while exploring New Hope, especially on a girls trip!

3. Stella of New Hope
If you’re looking to wow out of towners or want to splurge on a date night, Stella of New Hope is the place to be!
This is the most upscale restaurant on my list and OMG it’s to die for. Located in the charming Ghostlight Inn hotel (right next to the Bucks County Playhouse) is a beautiful restaurant with unbelievable waterfront views and a chef curated menu.
Stella of New Hope opened in 2019. The owners took the deeply rooted history that dates back to the 1700s and added modern, upscale charm. This restaurant is a true destination in the area, perfect for special dinners, date nights, and even weddings!
Jonnie and I stopped here for lunch one day. While this is an upscale place, wearing casual clothes for lunch is totally fine. But I wouldn’t shy away from dressing up for dinner at Stella!
Their Brown Butter Gnocchi caught my eye and the Peking Duck with Farro was Jonnie’s pick. These entrees were absolutely AMAZING! Probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had.
The gnocchi was pillowy and melted in your mouth. The duck was crispy on the outside and so juicy on the inside. My mouth is literally watering as I write this.
If you’re looking for a special occasion meal in New Hope PA I would recommend Stella New Hope first. It is that good. Enjoy their breathtaking dining room with glass window views of the Delaware river.
If you’re local to Doylestown Pennsylvania, Chalfont, Warrington or even Lambertville, NJ… the trip here for dinner is 1000% worth it!

4. Logan Inn’s Ferry + Main
One of the most widely known establishments in New Hope is the Logan Inn. Located right on the corner of Ferry Road and Main Street, the Logan Inn has been a staple hotel since 1722 – standing as the oldest restaurant New Hope PA has!
The restaurant inside, Ferry + Main, is a great spot for brunch, lunch, dinner or drinks.

Their menu is curated with local ingredients and has great offerings such as handmade mushroom ravioli, chicken osso buca, and pork fried rice!
Be sure to stop by this historical Inn for great food and drinks! It’s perfect for lunch in New Hope while exploring town or a night cap after seeing a show at the Bucks County Playhouse.
With legends of haunted rooms, Ferry + Main at the Logan Inn is a must-see if you are visiting town.

Originally built in 1872, this former Methodist Church serves as another upscale restaurant right on Main Street, New Hope. Formerly known as Marsha Brown’s, this treasured structure is now home to Oldestone Steakhouse.
This high-end restaurant is a great choice for a special dinner out with family or even a work event.
Boasting a menu complete with a raw bar, whole branzino, and even a Porterhouse Steak board for two, Oldestone is one of the best New Hope PA restaurants for a traditional steakhouse dinner.

At Martine’s RiverHouse Restaurant, you’ll have access to seating right on the Delaware River, with immaculate views at any time of the day.
Martine’s has been serving the community of New Hope for 40 years with traditional menu items including grilled salmon, duck confit, and butternut squash orecchiette.

Last on my list of best restaurants New Hope PA offers is a classic Italian spot. I don’t know about you, but there has to be a classic Italian spot on every “best of” list!
Italian Cucina is hands down the local’s choice for best Italian restaurant in New Hope, PA.
While the outside of the restaurant is unassuming, this place has some of the best handmade pasta within a large radius. Homemade lobster ravioli with champagne dough and vodka sauce.. need I say more!?
If you are looking for homemade pasta and cozy vibes, this place is for you!
Italian Cucina is BYOB so be sure to bring a bottle of red (and a bottle of white!) and settle in for a delicious evening.
